today is the first of october!

j calls october the gateway month

cause it’s the beginning of the holiday season.

(we love the holidays. as in, we listen to chrimas music before it’s appropriate.)

three things i’m really-really lookin forward to this month:

other things to look forward to:

cooler weather (hopefully!)

hay rides (wheeeeee!)

haunted hay rides (ahhhhhh!)

hot cider (mmmm!)

& basically, because of halloween,

you get to eat candy all month (nom nom nom)

as you prolly know, j the king of the interwebs & today he wrote his ten-thousandth article! that’s not a typo. it’s the number 10 with at least three zeros after it. so of course, i am real proud of him. i’m just not the best at expressing it, ya know?

three years ago today i signed up with wordpress and posted my first pitcher. now look at me — 697 pitchers and counting! thanks to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and threatened me over the years to keep on drawlin. take a sec to peep through the archives and see how far cocoa’s come! she’s nearly a grown ass woman. it’s unbleevable.

happy birthday chloe & einstein!

today i celebrate two of my favorite people, chloe & einstein.

6 years ago today, einstein was born.

one of his greatest accomplishments is having the biggest, baddest smell attached to such a tiny body. i don’t know how he does it, but it’s really impressive.

we celebrate chloe’s birthday today, too, since we don’t exactly know when chloe was born. but we have decided that she was definitely born at some point and time.

and i’m really glad she was born. she’s a really classy lady and she doesn’t look a day over 8.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FURBABIES!!!!!!!!!!1
